Announcing The GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive Series 2009
Following its successful inaugural year, three fantastic events are announced for this year’s line up of the GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive Series.
Llanwrtyd Wells (Wales): 4th July 2009, GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive (Saturday 4th) followed by the Merida Bikes MTB Marathon (Sunday 5th)
Selkirk (Scotland):1st August 2009, GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive (1st Saturday 1st) including the ‘Extreme-Loop’* followed by the Merida Bikes MTB Marathon (Sunday 2nd)
Ruthin (Wales):19th September 2009, GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive (Saturday 19th) followed by the Merida Bikes MTB (Sunday 20th)
Getting Into GORE BIKE WEAR™ Gear
This year all participants have the chance to get into GORE BIKE WEAR™ gear for free during the Road Sportive series.
Items borrowed; tested and put through their paces during the Road Sportive challenge can either be purchased after the event or returned. Cyclists are under no obligation to buy the garments after they have been tested. This is simply an opportunity for you to experience at first hand the benefits of the quality products in the GORE BIKE WEAR™ range, many of which are made from hard-wearing technical fabrics such as GORE-TEX® and WINDSTOPPER® products.
More About The GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive Series...
This year’s event series will include a more extreme option offered at the Selkirk location in the middle of the summer. In addition to the 80-100 mile classic and 40-50 mile loop ride, there will also be an extreme distance ride of 130 mile for those who really want to rise to a tough sportive challenge.
The GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive events will run alongside the Merida Bikes MTB Series offering a choice of 4 fantastic courses per location paired with 1st class facilities like bike wash, showers and toilets as well free parking + camping and a lively event village.
